OKC Maranatha Assembly of God Endowment Fund
The small congregation of Maranatha Assembly of God located in South Oklahoma City was struck by a tornado in early 2015 and suffered a total loss. Due to the high cost of rebuilding, the older age and small number of the congregation, the church decided not to rebuild. Having a strong desire to preserve a legacy in the name of the church which had done such good work through the year, the church decided instead to take the remaining church funds and establish an endowment fund which will benefit Assemblies of God missionaries for decades to come. While the church itself is no longer in existence, its impact will continue to be felt in the Kingdom of God in a great way.
